Director & Producer

Burt discovered his love of movies at a young age growing up in the Chicago suburbs and being inspired by Hughes, Spielberg, and Zemeckis – filmmakers that celebrated adventure, magic, and childlike wonder. He developed a passion for magic and now loves the magic of being on set more than anything in the world. While studying film at USC, he apprenticed under director Shawn Levy, interned or PA'd at The Ellen Show, Constantin Film, and any other set or production company he could access.
As Associate Producer at The Late Late Show with James Corden for over five years, Burt spearheaded the logistics/creative planning for all celebrity guests and their teams. He used hiatuses to direct his own short films, which all went on to be recognized at acclaimed festivals. His film CAPSULES won the Stage 32 Short Film Competition and was featured on the sci-fi platform DUST from studio Gunpowder & Sky. The executives at Corden saw his chops and gave him the opportunity to direct sketches for their final season—featuring stars such as Allison Janney, Joe Jonas, and Bob Odenkirk.
Since wrapping last year, Burt’s continued to build out his experience as well as his portfolio—which now includes a music video/cast announcement for a new Broadway musical, a Nerds Candy commercial, and a Halloween-themed environmental PSA. He’s currently in post on a rom-com series pilot and an animated short, while gearing up for production on several other original projects with plans to shoot this year--a new game show, a fresh take on food/travel, and his debut feature film: An epic coming-of-age treasure hunt adventure, which has been in the works for over a decade.
