abouT ME

Originally from Highland Park, Illinois, Burton Chaikin discovered his love of movies at a young age inspired by the likes of Hughes, Spielberg, and Zemeckis – filmmakers that celebrated adventure, magic, and childlike wonder. Unsurprisingly, he developed a passion for learning magic and performed at neighborhood birthday parties. Now, he loves the magic of being on set more than anything in the world. A graduate of USC School of Cinematic Arts, Burt spent his time in college apprenticing under Shawn Levy at 21 Laps, interning at The Ellen Show, Constantin Film, and on the film Welcome To Me starring Kristen Wiig.

As an Associate Producer at The Late Late Show with James Corden, Burt spearheads the day-to-day logistics and creative between the talent guests’ and the show’s teams. He also has now been brought on to direct sketches for the show as well as Segment Director. When not at the show, he directs and produces commercials and short films. His shorts have gone on to win the Stage 32 Short Film Competition, been featured on DUST—Gunpowder & Sky’s sci-fi short film site, and in numerous film festivals. He's in post-production as a Producer on an animated short film, recently completed directing a spec commercial for Nerds Candy, and is deep in development on his first feature film with the hopes to begin production within the next year.
